In order to engage with the Vaulta Network, you will need to fund your account with Vaulta tokens. These can be acquired on most major cryptocurrency exchanges. The process will vary slightly from one exchange to the next but this guide will outline the basic steps you need to keep in mind. If you need extra guidance, it is always worthwhile to check the exchange's support documentation.

✅ What You'll Need Before Getting Started

Before you get started, you will need to do the following:

1. Choose an Exchange and Create an Account

Vaulta can be acquired on most major exchanges. Find a crypto exchange that is supported in your geographic location, then go through their process for setting up an account.

2. Purchase Vaulta

Log into your exchange account and find the area that allows you to "Purchase" or "Trade" tokens. The process here will vary from one exchange to the next and it is best to check with your exchange's support documentation if you are confused.

Follow the exchange's steps to acquire the Vaulta token. In some cases you may be able to populate your exchange account with fiat from your bank account, then use that balance to purchase Vaulta. In other situations, you may need to buy another token like Bitcoin, then trade that token for Vaulta.

3. Withdraw Your Vaulta to Your Vaulta Account

Once you hold a balance of Vaulta on your exchange account you'll be able to withdraw that Vaulta to your account on the Vaulta Network. In order to do this, find the "Withdraw" section of your preferred exchange and choose the option to withdraw Vaulta tokens on the Vaulta network.

Enter the name of the account you would like to withdraw your tokens to. This would be the 12 character name you gave to your account. Always double check your the account name to ensure you are sending your tokens to the proper location. This cannot be reversed if you make a mistake.

Enter the amount of tokens to send to your account and select "Withdraw". Go through any necessary verification processes to complete the withdrawal. Once complete, it may take a few minutes for the transaction to process and the tokens to end up in your account.

Next Steps

Now that you have the Vaulta token you can start interacting with the Vaulta Ecosystem. In order to begin using Vaulta DApps you will likely need to acquire resources. You may also want to stake your tokens to earn rewards. Check out the guides below to get started using your Vaulta token.

Final Thoughts

When sending tokens somewhere for the first time, it's always good to do a trial with a small number of tokens. That way if you accidentally enter the wrong address or make some other error, you won't lose a large amount of funds. Once you see the small amount arrive in your account properly, you can go through the process again with the full amount.

It is also important to pay attention to the memo field when sending tokens to or from an exchange. This does not usually affect withdrawals from the exchange to the Vaulta network, but often when depositing tokens back into the exchange you may be required to enter a specific memo. This will ensure that your tokens end up in the proper account.
